Unexpected Slab Collapse Sparks Evacuation in Navi Mumbai
A slab from the fifth floor of a Navi Mumbai building collapsed into a flat below, leading to an evacuation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the residents of Woodland Co-operative Housing Society. Twenty-one families were relocated to safer areas as a precautionary measure.

In Navi Mumbai's Nerul area, a slab from the fifth floor of a residential building collapsed into the flat below on Tuesday. Although the incident was alarming, no injuries were reported, according to Sachin Kadam, an officer from the Regional Disaster Management Cell.
The collapse occurred at the Woodland Co-operative Housing Society, where a slab from the fifth floor fell into a fourth-floor flat's hall. Fortunately, the situation did not result in any casualties. The building was swiftly evacuated as a precautionary measure.
With assistance from fire personnel and civic staff, a total of 21 families residing in the building were moved to safer locations to prevent any further risk, the management official stated.
