A tragic incident occurred in Mumbai's Malad (West), where a 30-year-old labourer named Manoj Ghurhu Gupta died after falling from the 20th floor of an under-construction building.
Authorities have launched an investigation following claims of inadequate safety measures and poor lighting conditions at the site. The victim was reportedly attempting to use an elevator after his work shift when he fell through a gap between the elevator shaft and the adjacent wall. Severe injuries sustained in the fall led to his death.
In response to the incident, police have registered a case against the contractor, site supervisor, and safety supervisor for alleged negligence. Efforts to ensure accountability and prevent such occurrences in the future are underway.
