Palghar's Port Project: Unlocking Opportunities with Land Acquisition and Compensation

The Palghar district administration has successfully secured 62 hectares of land for the Vadhvan port project, an initiative poised to reshape the region's maritime infrastructure. A package worth Rs 2,300 crore is set to benefit 10,000 landholders affected by the project.

Officials have moved to resolve 'Gola Survey' issues, historical roadblocks that have caused compensation delays. The acquisition of 62 hectares for the deep-draft, all-weather greenfield port marks a significant milestone in the district's roadmap to development.

Authorities have also set up 20 special camps in Dahanu and Palghar to assist with inheritance documentation, attending to 350 cases as part of a transparent compensation process. Affected parties are encouraged to submit necessary documents soon for timely payment deposits directly into their bank accounts.
