A tragedy unfolded in Gujarat's Morbi district when a 13-year-old boy from Tamil Nadu drowned in a canal on Thursday. His elder brother is still missing following the incident, officials have confirmed.
The boys were on vacation, traveling with their truck driver father. The mishap occurred when they stopped for a break near the Dhrangadhra-Morbi branch canal, according to Morbi's Chief Fire Officer, Jayesh Daki.
Despite the efforts of fire teams from Morbi and Halvad, only the body of the younger sibling has been recovered. The search for the missing elder brother continues as rescue teams work tirelessly to locate him.
