This decision, announced by Chairperson Satya Sharma, seeks to streamline service delivery in areas like roads, sewerage, and waste management.
This initiative aligns with Delhi's Master Plan 2041, facilitating systematic development in areas that have already acquired urban characteristics. By formally recognizing these villages, the MCD aims to improve planning and regulation, ensuring efficient urban management.
