Angana Borah, a lead author and research graduate at IIT Gandhinagar, pointed out that urban areas require specific types of greenery based on their climate. By analyzing historical temperature and humidity data from 2003 to 2020, the team developed nuanced insights that could aid in developing effective heat action plans.
