Surge in South Delhi Floors: A Real Estate Boom
Prices of independent floors in South Delhi rose significantly, with Category B colonies seeing up to a 32% increase, while Category A colonies experienced a 14-22% price rise due to high demand. Notable areas include Mayfair Garden and Defence Colony. The trend is expected to persist as demand remains robust.
Prices of independent floors in South Delhi surged up to 32% in the January-March quarter, driven by substantial demand, Golden Growth Fund reports.
While Category B colonies saw a price appreciation of 23-32%, Category A areas recorded a 14-22% increase. Notably, Category A floors range from Rs 19.5-40 crore, whereas Category B areas range from Rs 10.65-16.5 crore.
A standout trend is the significant buyer migration toward these premium areas, strengthening demand. The persistence of high demand and limited supply suggests continued price resilience, said the CEO of Golden Growth Fund, Ankur Jalan. It's important to note that Delhi's Municipal Corporation designates colonies into eight categories, influencing tax and registration fees.
