Kumaraswamy Accuses Government of 'Official Real Estate Business'

Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries, H D Kumaraswamy, has leveled serious accusations against the Karnataka government, claiming that the Greater Bengaluru township project has turned into an 'official real estate business'.

During a recent press conference, Kumaraswamy alleged that the government was targeting fertile agricultural lands under the pretense of urban development and that no genuine consultations had taken place with the villagers.

The Minister further questioned the compensation packages being offered to the farmers, criticizing the claimed consent and demanded the immediate halt to the acquisition process, urging the government not to 'destroy farmers' homes' for development.
