Tragedy on NH-16: Teen's Life Lost in Bridge Plunge

A tragic accident on National Highway-16 claimed the life of a teenager while leaving her parents critically injured. The vehicle toppled off a bridge in Odisha's Jajpur district near Khanditar within Kuakhia police limits.
Srestha Mukherjee, aged 15, was returning with her parents to Bhubaneswar when the driver lost control, causing the car to fall 20 feet off the bridge. Srestha died instantly, while her parents suffered severe injuries.
Local police and fire brigade personnel, aided by residents, conducted rescue operations. The injured were taken to the district hospital for treatment, and authorities sent Srestha's body for a post-mortem examination.
