Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took stock of major development projects, part of the Advantage Assam 2.0 initiative, on Thursday. During the review, it was noted that over 60% of the investment proposals are nearing implementation, with some projects already operational.
Under Advantage Assam 2.0, launched in February 2025, the state attracted commitments exceeding Rs 5 lakh crore. Sarma expressed his satisfaction over the progress and stressed the importance of fast-tracking the projects. He plans to actively engage with industry stakeholders to ensure the full realization of these investments.
Additionally, Sarma evaluated Assam's power supply situation, with emphasis on maintaining a surplus. Measures for 24/7 electricity supply were discussed, alongside progress on various power projects. The Chief Minister also reviewed the Maa Kamakhya Access corridor, anticipating an improved experience for pilgrims as legal hurdles are resolved.
