Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Friday that the redevelopment of Alwar railway station, a project valued at Rs 112 crore, is proceeding swiftly. The work is designed to reflect Rajasthan's rich cultural and architectural heritage.

During the virtual foundation ceremony, Vaishnaw outlined various ongoing projects in Rajasthan, collectively worth over Rs 400 crore. Enhancements aim to boost urban connectivity, including dual-sided entry facilities at Alwar station, a key point on the Delhi-Jaipur route serving thousands daily.

To manage increasing footfall, the station upgrades feature modern traffic systems, extensive parking, and organized passenger areas. The new complex spans nearly 16,000 square meters, highlighting advanced infrastructure and facilities. As part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, redevelopment extends to other regional stations, with 85 projects underway across Rajasthan.
