A fire broke out in a four-storey residential building in Delhi's Shahdara area early Sunday, leading to the hospitalization of nine individuals, including women and a minor girl, for breathing complications.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), a prompt emergency call was received at 12:03 am reporting the blaze at D-45, Mansarover Park. Fire tenders quickly arrived on the scene, evacuating residents trapped on different floors.
The fire, reportedly stemming from a short-circuited motor in the parking lot, was contained by DFS teams. All affected individuals were moved to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
