In Kozhikode district, a lightning strike claimed the life of one individual while injuring several others, including a dramatic incident at a poultry farm where a man named Jaison lost his life.

The storm, marked by heavy rain and thunder, also wreaked havoc in other parts of the district. Another lightning strike injured four women at Nerukumchal in Thamarassery, with those affected receiving timely medical attention.

This tragic occurrence follows a similar event last week in Malappuram district, where lightning claimed the lives of four youngsters, underscoring the severe weather threats faced by the region.
