The Greater Chennai Corporation has announced a new initiative where birth certificates will be delivered to parents through WhatsApp. This service will utilize the mobile numbers provided at the time of the child's birth registration within the Corporation's jurisdiction.
Previously, parents could obtain these certificates exclusively through the Corporation's website. Now, with the addition of WhatsApp delivery, the process is streamlined, fostering greater accessibility for the city's residents.
In an official release, Commissioner J Kumarakurbaran emphasized how these digital services reflect the Corporation's commitment to enhancing public accessibility. Parents can interact with the Corporation's WhatsApp Chatbot by sending a message to 94450 61913, further simplifying the download process.
