Inside the Trial Over Diego Maradona's Final Days

In a high-profile trial concerning the death of soccer legend Diego Maradona, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov testified on Thursday, defending her actions and attributing shortcomings in care to a private medical company. Cosachov is one of seven healthcare workers accused of negligence in Maradona's care.

Maradona had undergone surgery for a hematoma and was under intensive care before being moved to a private home, where he passed away on November 25, 2020. Cosachov, visible emotional during her testimony, maintained that she acted in the best interest of Maradona, stressing consensus on home hospitalization was reached with the family.
