Jabalpur Royal Lions delivered a commanding performance to defeat Rewa Jaguars by 21 runs in Match 16 of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) 2025. The match, held at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, marked the end of Rewa's undefeated run, according to an official MPL statement.

Jabalpur, asked to bat first, initially stumbled with both openers falling early due to Saransh Surana's fierce spell. Despite this, Siddharth Patidar's gritty 51 off 36 balls steadied the innings, although Saransh claimed his wicket in a four-wicket haul, leaving Jabalpur at 117/6. A late surge saw Ritik Tada and Sanjog Singh add 68 unbeaten runs, finishing at 185/6.

Prithviraj Singh Tomar's composed 52 offered Rewa a solid start, but the middle order faltered. Despite Mukul Raghav's unbeaten 42, they finished at 164/6. Jabalpur's Pankaj Patel, with figures of 4/36, earned the Player of the Match. The Lions, now on a winning streak, face Bundelkhand Bulls next.
