Indian Women Wrestlers Shine at U-23 Asian Championship

Indian women wrestlers delivered a standout performance at the Under-23 Asian Championship, capturing the team title by winning medals across all ten categories. Their impressive haul included four gold and five silver, underscoring their formidable presence on the wrestling mat.

Among the gold medalists were Priyanshi Prajapat, Reena, Shrishti, and Priya, while five others advanced to gold-medal bouts but had to settle for silver. Hinaben Khalifa rounded out the victories with a bronze medal win.

Meanwhile, in Greco-Roman and men's freestyle events, Indian athletes also made notable accomplishments. Sumit claimed gold in the 63kg category, and Vicky secured gold in the 97kg men's freestyle. Several others, including Nitesh and Ankit Gulia, contributed to India's impressive medal tally with bronze wins.
