In a remarkable display of skill and speed, Marc Marquez clinched his 100th career pole position during his Ducati debut at the Mugello Circuit for the Italian Grand Prix on Saturday. Marquez's performance saw him break several lap records, ultimately securing his sixth pole of the season and adding to his impressive tally in the MotoGP, Moto2, and 125cc World Championships.

Without relying on slipstreams, Marquez expressed his satisfaction with the pole position, highlighting the challenge of adapting to warm temperatures in the afternoon session. His strategic riding, especially leveraging slipstreams from his brother Alex, helped him clinch the top spot during the qualifiers.

The competition intensified as Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo and teammate Francesco Bagnaia set blazing lap times. Nonetheless, Marquez delivered a final stunning lap, recording one minute and 44.169 seconds to edge out Bagnaia by 0.059 seconds. These thrilling performances set the stage for a highly competitive race.
