Emma Raducanu's Safety Assured: Wimbledon Blocks Stalker
Emma Raducanu expressed relief after Wimbledon blocked a stalker from purchasing tickets. The man had previously followed her to events in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. A restraining order was issued, and extra security measures were praised, ensuring her safety at Wimbledon and other UK events.

British tennis player Emma Raducanu has expressed her relief and gratitude after Wimbledon officials successfully barred a man who had been stalking her from obtaining tickets for the prestigious tournament. This reassurance follows a series of unsettling incidents at WTA events earlier this year.
The man in question received a restraining order from Dubai police and was prohibited from attending any Tour events. Wimbledon, likewise, took action by preventing him from purchasing tickets through a comprehensive review of public ballot applicants. Raducanu commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement and Wimbledon staff.
Raducanu highlighted the importance of security, especially in the wake of historical incidents involving athletes, citing the 1993 stabbing of Monica Seles. She emphasized the value of increased protection and shared her support for colleague Katie Boulter, who has also faced online abuse.
