Paras Gupta demonstrated exceptional skill as he dominated Sunny Wang with a 5-0 win, advancing to the semifinals of the ACBS Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship. Having previously outperformed reigning IBSF World Champion Kamal Chawla, Gupta maintained his formidable form in the quarterfinals.
The 29-year-old from Agra displayed strategic gameplay, particularly capitalizing on Sunny Wang's missed opportunities. Despite initial struggles with fluency, Gupta managed a significant run of 28 in the second frame and clinched a pivotal victory in the final frame with a break of 59.
In the upcoming semifinals, he is set to challenge either Bahrain's Habib Sabah or Qatar's Ali Al Obaidli. Earlier, Gupta had a convincing 5-2 victory over compatriot Kamal Chawla in the pre-quarters, showcasing his caliber in the tournament.
