KIUG 2025 Set to Ignite Jaipur: University Athletes Gear Up
The 2025 edition of the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) will see over 4,000 students compete in Jaipur. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the games will be hosted by Poornima University and Rajasthan University, with participation from more than 200 universities across at least 20 sports disciplines.

The Khelo India University Games (KIUG), in its fifth edition, is set to unfold in Jaipur this November, attracting over 4,000 students to compete. Announced by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the event will be hosted by Poornima University and Rajasthan University.
More than 200 universities are expected to participate in this Under-25 multi-sport event, featuring at least 20 disciplines. The event aims to provide athletes a national platform to showcase their talents. 'These Games will be a great opportunity for athletes, offering a national stage that scouts will be closely watching,' said Mandaviya.
The previous edition of KIUG 2024, held across North-east India, saw Chandigarh University clinch the team championship. Over 4,500 athletes competed for 770 medals, including 240 gold. With the upcoming games, expectations for peak performances remain high.
