In an exciting lineup of talent, the Elite Women's Boxing Tournament is set to feature India's top female pugilists, headlined by World Champion Nikhat Zareen, Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain, and former World Youth Champion Ankushita Boro. The event will take place at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium in Telangana from June 27 to July 1.

Organized by the Telangana Boxing Federation in conjunction with the Boxing Federation of India, the tournament promises intense action with participants from 15 teams, including prominent units like Railways, Haryana, and All India Police. More than 100 contenders, including World Championships bronze medalist Manisha Moun and Olympian Preeti, will compete for a spot in the national camp.

Ajay Singh, BFI president, highlights the significance of the event stating, "This tournament not only strengthens Indian boxing's competitive structure but also allows young talents to learn and challenge seasoned competitors." As India prepares for upcoming international events, the tournament is seen as a crucial step in maintaining global momentum in women's boxing.
