Spanish champions Barcelona's women's team is gearing up for an exciting challenge as they face off against the top talents of Liga MX Femenil in the first-ever 'Duelo de Estrellas' set in Monterrey next month.
The match, scheduled for August 22 at Estadio Universitario in Nuevo Leon, marks a significant step in the development of women's football in Mexico, highlighting the remarkable skills and impacts of the players from all 18 Liga MX Femenil teams against the three-time Women's Champions League victors.
Players for the All-Star lineup have been chosen based on their performance metrics, seasoned striker Charlyn Corral among them. In addition, fans will contribute to the selection of three players, alongside two 'surprise' inclusions. Barcelona will follow this up with a match against Mexican runners-up Club America in Mexico City on August 24 as they prepare for their Liga F opener against Alhama CF on August 31.
