Indian Youngsters Shine at Badminton Asia Junior Championships

Indian badminton stars Tanvi Sharma and Vennala Kalagotla have successfully advanced to the quarterfinals of the Badminton Asia Junior Championships. Tanvi, who was seeded second, triumphed over her Chinese counterpart Shi Si Chen, followed by a decisive win against Thailand's Phannachet Passa-Orn.

Kalagotla sustained her momentum with back-to-back victories to secure her spot in the top eight. In a parallel achievement, the men's doubles team of Bhargav Ram and Viswa Tej reached the semifinals after defeating Japan's Haru Masuda and Shogo Miyashita, setting up a compelling quarterfinal against China's Wen Xin and Wei Gang Zheng.

In the men's singles category, Rounak Chouhan and Ansh Negi reached the round of 16 with respective victories over competitors from Thailand and Vietnam. Meanwhile, the women's doubles team of Kalagotla and Reshika U secured their place in the round of 16 after overcoming Hong Kong's Au-Yeung Wing Chi and Yi Kiu Yu, marking a significant milestone in the tournament for Indian players.
