The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) unveiled the list of athletes eligible for the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze event in Bhubaneswar. This announcement was made based on their rankings as of July 12 and includes both men and women competitors across various track and field categories.
The event, occurring annually, is recognized globally under the aegis of World Athletics and forms the second tier of international one-day meetings, just below the highly lauded Diamond League. This year's edition is set to host over 150 participants from more than 10 countries at Kalinga Stadium.
A key deadline looms as all athletes must submit their entries by July 31, 2025, via the AFI Portal. Failure to comply will bar athletes from participating in the 64th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships 2025. Although Neeraj Chopra will not compete, numerous other talented Indian athletes are expected to shine in the upcoming event.
