Ferrari Extends Vasseur's Contract Amid F1 Championship Pursuits
Ferrari confirmed a multi-year contract extension with F1 team boss Fred Vasseur, dismissing rumors of his possible replacement. Vasseur, pivotal in securing Lewis Hamilton's move from Mercedes, continues to guide Ferrari in their pursuit of a championship victory, underlining stability and long-term commitment.

Ferrari has put an end to speculation about the future of its Formula One team boss, Fred Vasseur, by announcing a multi-year contract extension. The Frenchman, who took charge at the start of 2023, successfully convinced seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to switch from Mercedes this season.
Earlier reports suggested Ferrari was considering Christian Horner, recently ousted from Red Bull, as a possible replacement for Vasseur. However, Ferrari's CEO, Benedetto Vigna, affirmed the team's belief in Vasseur's leadership, emphasizing the shared ambition and expectations that exist. Despite being second in the championship standings, Ferrari lags 268 points behind McLaren.
Hamilton, meanwhile, has yet to achieve a podium finish for Ferrari but has expressed strong support for Vasseur. He credited Vasseur as a key reason for his joining the team and reinforced his commitment to working alongside him to achieve success. Ferrari last claimed the championship in 2008, with Kimi Raikkonen as their most recent champion in 2007.
