Struggles and Triumphs at the Korn Ferry Utah Championship

In a challenging opening round at the Utah Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour, Rayhan Thomas and Sudarshan Yellamaraju found themselves struggling to make their mark.

Thomas completed his round with a one-over 71, navigating bogeys on the second, sixth, and tenth holes before rallying with late birdies on the 15th and 18th. This performance placed him at T-104.

Meanwhile, Yellamaraju shot a three-over 73, marred by a double bogey and five bogeys, despite two birdies and one eagle, placing him at T-133. Canadian golfer Étienne Papineau stood out with a bogey-free round of nine-under 61, edging ahead of nearest contender Taylor Montgomery, who shot 62.
