In a poignant display of remembrance, the England cricket team donned special headbands on Day 2 of the final Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at The Oval. This gesture honors the late Graham Thorpe, a former English batter who passed away last year, raising awareness and funds for mental health charity Mind through the sale of these headbands.

Graham Thorpe, a cricket icon who struggled with depression, died by suicide at age 55. Debuting in 1993, Thorpe's enduring presence in the English team spanned the late '90s and early 2000s. With 100 Test matches under his belt, he amassed 6,744 runs, including 16 centuries, earning the admiration of fans and peers alike.

During the Test, England edged ahead against India, with fast bowler Gus Atkinson securing a five-wicket haul and openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley setting up a solid 92-run partnership. By the end of the session, England stood strong at 109/1, trailing India by 115 runs and setting the stage for a gripping contest.
