Fernando Alonso, the renowned Formula 1 driver, has been medically cleared to compete in the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix. The news comes after Alonso opted to skip the first practice session due to a back injury sustained during last week's Belgian Grand Prix.

Aston Martin confirmed Alonso's decision was a strategic move to manage his muscular back injury, ensuring he limits his time behind the wheel until fully fit. Despite this setback, the two-time F1 champion returned to the track, delivering an impressive fifth-place finish in the second practice session, trailing teammate Lance Stroll by just one spot.

In Alonso's temporary absence, reserve driver Felipe Drugovich took the wheel, finishing the first practice session in 16th place. Drugovich, who is yet to make his Formula 1 debut, has been on standby before, having stepped up during preseason testing this year and considered for potential races this summer. His consistent performance keeps him as a reliable backup for the Aston Martin team.
