In a significant achievement at the U22 Asian Boxing Championships 2025 held in Bangkok, Thailand, India secured an assured six additional medals on Monday. This success story unfolded with impressive wins by Priya (women's 60kg), Paranjal Yadav (women's 70kg), Harsh (men's 60kg), Neeraj (men's 75kg), Rockey Chaudhary (men's 85kg), and Ishan Kataria (men's 90+kg), each advancing to the semifinals.

India's medal haul began with Priya's unanimous 5:0 victory over Japan's Sarii Kokufu. In a similar dominant fashion, Harsh seized a 5:0 win against Munkh-Erdene Erdenebold from Mongolia. Paranjal faced a challenging bout against China's Mengge Zhang, ultimately prevailing with a narrow 3:2 split decision in the morning session.

The tournament, featuring both U19 and U22 categories, offers a platform for India's emerging boxing talents against seasoned Asian competitors. With a robust team of 40 boxers, comprising both seasoned champions and rising stars, India aims to make a mark on the international stage. Completing Monday's achievements, Neeraj outclassed Jun-Zhang Lin of Chinese Taipei with a 5:0 victory, whilst Rockey Choudhary and Ishan Kataria achieved wins over their opponents from Kazakhstan and Iran, respectively. Among them, only Sagar faced a setback in his men's 55kg quarterfinal match.
