The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday unveiled the Women's Central Contracts for the 2025-26 season, marked by a notable 50% raise in player retainers across all categories. Bowler Sadia Iqbal, celebrated for her top ICC T20I bowling rank, emerged as a key beneficiary, upgraded to the prestigious Category A.

The list of 20 contracted players showcases a variety of upgrades. Alongside Sadia Iqbal, players like Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali, and Sidra Amin join the ranks of Category A. Notable ascensions include Diana Baig's rise to Category B, with Rameen Shamim moving up to Category C, demonstrating the PCB's dynamic restructuring efforts.

In an effort to foster emerging talent, PCB has introduced a new 'Emerging' Category E, featuring Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar. These players are set to play key roles in Pakistan's upcoming T20I series against Ireland. The contracts were crafted by the PCB women's selection committee and head coach Muhammad Wasim, reflecting both past performances and the strategic future pursuits of the team.
