Mohammed Siraj, the Indian pace sensation, has achieved a career-high 15th ranking in the latest ICC Test standings following his match-winning exploits against England at The Oval. Siraj's nine-wicket haul, including a crucial five-wicket burst, was instrumental in clinching India's six-run victory, drawing the series level at 2-2.
With England needing just 35 runs with four wickets in hand on the final day, Siraj's dynamic bowling dismantled the opposition, securing three key dismissals, including the final wicket of Gus Atkinson. This splendid effort earned him the 'Player of the Match' accolade and bolstered his standing in the international arena.
In tandem with Siraj, Prasidh Krishna climbed to a career-best 59th position after matching the feat of taking four or more wickets in each innings of a Test, a record last seen by an Indian duo in 1969. On the batting front, Yashasvi Jaiswal's stellar century sees him back in the top five, while Rishabh Pant inches to eighth place, despite missing the final Test due to injury.
