Following India's victorious performance in The Oval Test, fast-bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have achieved career-best standings in the ICC Men's Test Bowler Rankings. Siraj soared 12 places to 15th with 674 points, while Krishna leaped 25 places to 59th with 368 points after their significant contributions to India's narrow win by six runs in the fifth Test.
This achievement marks a new high for both players, emphasized by their match-winning performances against England, according to the ICC. Meanwhile, England's Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue also celebrated career-high rankings; Atkinson climbed into the top 10 for the first time, and Tongue advanced to 46th after their equally impressive performances.
In other ranking developments, Yashasvi Jaiswal moved into the top five Test batters with 792 points following his century at The Oval, with Joe Root and Harry Brook topping the list. From the Zimbabwe-New Zealand series, Daryl Mitchell entered the top 10 for batters, and teammate Matt Henry advanced to fourth with a career-best 817 points. In T20I updates, Australia's Tim David and Pakistan's Saim Ayub made notable upward moves, with Jason Holder also improving his ranking among bowlers.
