The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a call for applications for three pivotal full-time positions at its cutting-edge Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. This initiative is part of BCCI's strategy to strengthen India's cricketing infrastructure across coaching, education, and sports science sectors, as stated in an official release.
The first position, Resident Faculty - Batting, is dedicated to supporting and implementing BCCI's national coach education programs, ranging from certification Levels 0-3. This role requires crafting course content, conducting assessments, mentoring, and managing digital learning platforms, along with collaboration with zonal coaches. Eligible candidates include former First-Class or International cricketers with a BCCI Level-2 or Level-3 coaching certification and at least five years of coaching at the state or youth level.
Similarly, the Resident Faculty - Bowling position carries responsibilities parallel to those of the batting faculty, albeit with a specific concentration on bowling instruction. This role emphasizes the design and delivery of BCCI's certification modules, curriculum development, and coach mentorship—qualifying candidates must have an extensive background in bowling coaching.
Meanwhile, the Head of Sports Science and Medicine will lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing strategic performance planning, injury prevention, and integrating sports science across national teams. The ideal candidate is expected to hold a Master's, preferably a Doctorate, in sports science, alongside a minimum of five years in a leadership role within high-performance sports.
Applications are open until 5:00 PM IST on August 20, 2025. All positions are based at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and candidates must be under the age of 60 upon application submission, as noted by BCCI.
