Indian spin sensation Varun Chakravarthy has articulated his preparations for the upcoming Asia Cup, set to commence on September 9. The spinner expressed gratitude towards T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir for their unwavering support as he returns to India's white-ball cricket fold.

Chakravarthy, who impressively gathered 33 wickets in just 18 T20Is, looks to bolster the Indian line-up during the Asia Cup. Speaking with Boria Majumdar at Revsportz, he detailed his training routine, which includes a much-needed one-month break, focusing on strengthening and conditioning, refining his bowling and batting skills, and rejuvenating before the tournament.

With eyes set on the ODI World Cup 2027 after the Asia Cup, Chakravarthy aims for excellence on challenging white-ball tours for India. He credited Gambhir's mentorship and Yadav's leadership for reinforcing his confidence, drawing parallels with the thriving energy and tactical acumen seen during his time at MI Mumbai Indians.
