Rifle Shooters Miss Flight Amid Security Delays at Pune Airport

Six young rifle and pistol shooters from Pune were set to fly to Goa for the 12th West Zone Shooting Championship but missed their flight due to prolonged security procedures at Pune Airport.

The delay, caused by issues with firearm clearance, occurred despite the shooters arriving hours early. Akasa Air attributed the situation to extended security checks.

While some alternative travel arrangements have been made, the delay has impacted the athletes' ability to compete, leading to disappointment and frustration from the shooting academy, Gun For Glory.
