Microsoft's $30 Billion UK Investment Boost
Microsoft is set to invest over $30 billion in the UK for its operations and AI infrastructure over four years. This investment includes a significant increase in capital expenditures and the introduction of 23,000 AI chips, indicating strengthened business relations post regulatory approvals.

Microsoft is poised to inject more than $30 billion into its UK operations and artificial intelligence infrastructure over the next four years. The announcement comes just before U.S. President Donald Trump's second state visit to Britain.
As part of this strategic move, Microsoft will augment its UK capital expenditures by $15.5 billion, accompanied by the deployment of 23,000 advanced AI chips in the region. This was confirmed by the company's President, Brad Smith, during a briefing.
Smith highlighted the improved business climate in the UK, following the country's antitrust regulator's decision to drop its opposition to Microsoft's 2023 acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The development signals a strengthening of Microsoft's position in the UK market.
