The first unofficial Test match between India A and Australia A concluded in a draw at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, as rain disrupted play on the final day. India A, having started the day at 403/4, managed to conclude at 531/7, thanks to remarkable centuries by Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal.
Jurel, who began the day with an overnight score of 113, added 27 more runs before being dismissed, while Padikkal's century was achieved off 198 balls against bowler Corey Rocchiccioli. Their partnership of over 200 runs was pivotal, stabilizing India A's innings after trailing Australia A's formidable 532/6 declared.
Australia A, set to chase, finished at 56/0 with openers Sam Konstas and Campbell Kellaway unbeaten. The rain-drenched conclusion kept the high-scoring match from reaching a decisive end. The second match of the series will take place in Lucknow starting September 23.
