Femke Bol delivered a scintillating performance to retain her world 400 metres hurdles title, clocking the season's best time of 51.54 seconds. The Dutch athlete dominated the field, outpacing U.S. runner Jasmine Jones, who secured silver with a personal best of 52.08 seconds, and Slovakia's Emma Zapletalova, who claimed bronze with a national record time of 53.00 seconds.

Bol's victory capped off an impressive season of eight consecutive wins. With Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone absent, Bol was the frontrunner and fulfilled expectations with a flawless race. "We worked hard, and I'm proud to claim my second consecutive gold," Bol said. "This year's training improvements paid off, especially in the finishing stretch."

Veteran runner Dalilah Muhammad, a former Olympic and world champion, announced her retirement after finishing seventh. "Age and injuries make it tougher," Muhammad reflected. Meanwhile, Zapletalova celebrated her podium finish, expressing immense joy for her remarkable season comeback post-injury struggles.
