Akanksha Nitture of Maharashtra showcased her formidable talent by advancing to the third round at the prestigious 30th Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship, hosted at the DLTA Complex in New Delhi.

The accomplished second seed triumphed over Odisha's Sohini Sanjay Mohanty in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6 (2), ensuring her progress in the tournament, as indicated in the press release from Fenesta Open.

Manish Sureshkumar from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka's Soha Sadiq also secured their third-round spots amidst fierce competition, with Sureshkumar defeating Debasis Sahoo 6-2, 6-1, while Soha battled Aakruti N Sonkusare for a hard-fought 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory.

Punjab's Sahira Singh dominated over Jeetesh Kumari 6-3, 6-2. Olympian Vishnu Vardhan, representing Telangana, confirmed his third-round berth by overpowering Deepak A 6-1, 6-2.

Meanwhile, as top seed Nitin Kumar Sinha advanced unchallenged after his opponent retired, the tournament, supported by AITA and DLTA, continues to draw the best players, offering a total prize pool of over Rs 21.55 Lakh.
