The India Under-19 team achieved a remarkable triumph over Australia Under-19, winning by an innings and 58 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match Youth Test series. The highlight was the brilliant centuries by Vedant Trivedi and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, complemented by the eight-wicket haul by D Deepesh.
As Australia resumed their innings at 8/1, they crumbled under India's aggressive play, managing only 127 runs. This victory marks the largest win by any U19 team in Australia in the history of Youth Test cricket. Comparatively, the previous record was set by India, winning by an innings and 240 runs under Piyush Chawla's captaincy.
Australia, after winning the toss, rued their decision to bat first, stumbling against India's lethal bowling attack led by right-arm quick Deepesh and left-arm seamer Kishan Kumar.
