Legacy of a Squash Titan: Remembering Narayana Ramachandran

Narayana Ramachandran, a notable figure in the Indian sports community and former President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), passed away on Thursday in Chennai. He was 77 and had been suffering from a prolonged illness.

His contribution to the sport of squash is remembered fondly by those within the fraternity. According to Squash Rackets Federation of India Secretary General Cyrus Poncha, Ramachandran's passing indicates a 'big loss to the squash fraternity.'

Ramachandran held the position of IOA President between February 2014 and December 2017 and was the President of the World Squash Federation from 2008 to 2016, underscoring his importance in the global sports community.
