Chelsea's Managerial Shake-Up: Rosenior Out Amidst Turbulent Season

Chelsea has dismissed manager Liam Rosenior after a disappointing run of form jeopardized the club's Champions League aspirations and led to their worst goal-scoring drought in over a century. Rosenior, who took the helm in January following Enzo Maresca's departure, faced the axe after managing the team for less than four months.

The decision followed Chelsea's 3-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion, which allowed the south-coast club to surpass Chelsea in the league standings. The club issued a statement expressing gratitude towards Rosenior while acknowledging the necessity of change due to recent unsatisfactory performances.

Calum McFarlane, who previously assumed caretaker duties when Maresca left, will lead the team as interim head coach until the end of the season. Rosenior, who had a long-term contract until 2032, was initially successful with Strasbourg, but faced challenges at Chelsea as the team faltered domestically and in Europe.
