Seamer Nahid Rana was the hero on a dramatic final day, claiming figures of 5-40 to power Bangladesh to a 104-run victory over Pakistan in the opening test match at Mirpur.

Bangladesh secured the win by setting a competitive target of 268, dismissing Pakistan for 163, thanks to a seven-wicket haul in the last session.

Despite rain truncating play on the third and fourth days, Rana, along with his fellow bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam, played a crucial role in sealing a historic home victory. The last test of the series is set for Sylhet on Saturday.
