In an electrifying start to the Thailand Open, reigning Asian Games champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty showcased their resilience and skill, securing a gritty victory at Bangkok's Nimibutr Stadium on Tuesday.

The top-seeded Indian duo, holding a world rank of number four, faced stiff competition from Indonesia's unranked pair, Putra Erwiansyah and Bagas Maulana. The match unfolded in dramatic fashion, with Rankireddy and Shetty overcoming early challenges to clinch the first round with scores of 21-19, 23-21, and finally 21-10.
