Hockey India recently announced that the Indian Women's Hockey Team is slated to tour Australia from May 21 to June 3, 2026. This tour is a crucial component of their training regimen for the FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup, scheduled for June 15-21, 2026, in Auckland, New Zealand.
During their Australian sojourn, India will face off against Australia in four matches held at the Perth Hockey Stadium from May 26-30, 2026. The first two matches are set for 5:00 PM IST on May 26 and 27, while the remaining fixtures will be played at 11:00 AM IST on May 29 and 30.
Following their Australian tour, the team will continue honing their skills in New Zealand. Their recent successful campaign in Argentina, featuring two victories in four matches, has bolstered their confidence. Supported by Coca-Cola India Foundation's Anandana, the drag-flickers will also receive specialized training from Dutch legend Taeke Taekema. Chief Coach Sjoerd Marijne highlighted the strategic importance of the tour in gauging the players' readiness and adaptability ahead of the Nations Cup.
