Kieron Pollard, the batting coach for Mumbai Indians, has been fined 15% of his match fee and received a demerit point for a Level 1 breach of the IPL Code of Conduct. The incident, involving the use of abusive language towards a match official, occurred during MI's recent clash with Punjab Kings.

The IPL commissioner highlighted that Pollard admitted to the inappropriate conduct during the 19th over of Punjab's innings. Following the disciplinary action, MI turned the match into a thriller. Batting first, Punjab Kings set a competitive target of 200, thanks to an explosive cameo from Azmatullah Omarzai.

Mumbai Indians, however, responded with determination in their chase. Despite facing a challenging bowling attack, Tilak Varma's unbeaten 75 off 33 balls and Will Jacks' brisk 25 in 10 balls were instrumental as MI secured an edge-of-the-seat victory. With this win, Mumbai Indians maintain their position in the league standings, while Punjab Kings remain in the top four.
