In particular, Shivani from the Border Security Force triumphed in the women's 75kg category, defeating a Russian competitor for the gold medal, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination. Aparna also seized victory in the 52kg category, earning another gold for India.
Previously, both athletes had achieved silver in the World Wushu Championships in Brazil, but their performance at the Sanda World Cup highlighted significant progress. Additionally, Kushal Kumar from the Indian Air Force claimed silver in the 48kg category, while Kareena Kaushik and Sagar Dhaiya won bronze, bringing India's medal tally to five. Their achievement was applauded by Wushu Association of India's president, Bhupender Singh Bajwa.
