India concluded its U-17 campaign at the Asian Boxing Championships 2026 with an impressive 17 medals, led by the girls' contingent with 2 gold, 7 silver, and 8 bronze. The U-17 girls secured a dominant 12-medal haul, while the boys added 1 silver and 4 bronze medals to the tally.
India wrapped up its U-17 campaign at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 with a total of 17 medals. The standout performers were the girls' team, clinching 2 gold, 7 silver, and 8 bronze medals.
The U-17 girls delivered an impressive performance by collecting 12 medals, including golds secured by Rakhi in the 46kg category and Navya in the 57kg. Rakhi dominated Rukhshonabonu Ahadova from Uzbekistan with a RSC victory in the second round, while Navya won 4:0 against Japan's Sara Kono.
Although the boys' team faced tougher competition, they still added to the medal tally with Lakshay Phogat earning a silver in the 75kg category. The campaign highlighted the talent and depth in India's girls' boxing, contributing significantly to the nation's overall success at the event.
