MPL Expands with New Teams: Upping the Cricket Game in 2026

The 2026 edition of the Madhya Pradesh Premier League (MPL) is set to become a larger arena for cricket enthusiasm with the addition of three men's teams: Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles. This expansion elevates the competition to include ten teams, promising a thrilling chase for the title.

The women's league also sees growth. Two new franchises, Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles, join the contest, boosting the number of teams from three to five. This development is aimed at enhancing competition and talent discovery among women cricketers.

MPL Chairman Mahanaryaman Scindia commented on this growth, highlighting that the new teams create more opportunities for emerging talent. He emphasized the league's role as a platform for nurturing young cricketers, wishing all teams success in the upcoming season.
